Andy is the ‘Bristow’ in Bristow Holland, and has been a specialist recruiter for over 19 years. Andy established Bristow Holland with Paul Vingerhoets to realise his vision for how recruitment services should be delivered – by local, experienced experts with in-depth market knowledge.
With this much time and experience in the specialist recruitment industry, he understands acutely that a successful recruitment partnership is based around trust, knowledge and empathy on all sides. Andy has a broad range of technical IT knowledge (ITIL qualified) and a lengthy track record of success across all sectors within IT recruitment, most recently specialising in Database and Business Intelligence markets and offering consultancy to help clients recruit the most suitable candidates. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of Bristow Holland.
Andy has a truly extensive network of connections across the IT leadership sector, which he often draws upon to the benefit of both clients and candidates. Andy’s art is in making sure the right specialists get in front of the right employers, and great partnerships are born.
Formerly a competitive hockey player, Andy is currently a part-time runner and golfer, performing each with varying levels of success…
Ashley is our Infrastructure & Support specialist, and a vital part of our delivery team. Already a highly experienced recruiter on joining Bristow Holland in 2014, he built on his previous experiences in IT and recruitment in London and Australia to develop a deep knowledge of our regional infrastructure market.
Ashley is an established member of our team, with a solid reputation for finding particularly hard-to-source candidates. His excellent success rate has already helped further bolster Bristow Holland’s reputation with a number of large local clients.
Ashley is a tenacious and determined consultant who brings enthusiasm and energy to his work. His genuine interest in and enjoyment of IT recruitment and the challenge of helping his candidates and clients find the right matches has a positive impact on everyone he works with.
When not at work, Ashley enjoys travelling, football, tennis and practicing to be the next Gordon Ramsay by cooking up some top draw treats for the rest of the office.
Ben is our own newest recruit, joining us in April 2018, and our specialist in Database & Business Intelligence. He comes with an exemplary track record of working with several blue-chip companies on business insight and intelligence, delivering positive results every time and going above and beyond to make sure all his candidates got off to a great start.
Ben is working closely with Andy to establish key relationships with employers and specialists across the sector – something we know he will have no trouble at all doing! Ben is already a firm part of our team at Bristow Holland and he’s very much looking forward to continuing our philosophy of reacting quickly to source exactly the right specialists for the job.
Ben has already trounced the rest of us on the pool table. Some might say this was a sign of a misspent youth, but we’ll call it part of his incisive, ambitious nature.
Marc is our specialist in Change and Transformation and Business Analysis, joining us in early 2017 after several years’ experience at another blue-chip recruitment firm in the construction market. He completed his Prince 2 certification in November 2017.
An experienced recruiter, and proud of his track record of success, Marc works hard to build on Bristow Holland’s reputation as the key local supplier for specialised project management, change management and business analysis skills throughout Suffolk and Essex. He’s proactive and supportive in his approach, and takes after-care extremely seriously, making sure the start for new personnel runs smoothly.
Marc’s mission is to continue our philosophy of making ourselves available 24/7, building close, long-lasting relationships with everyone he works with, and offering an even better service to candidates and clients alike.
Outside of work, Marc is a keen footballer and plays regularly for Wormingford Wanderers FC in Border League Division 1.
Matt is a co-director and a specialist software recruiter with an exclusive network of developers built by solid word-of-mouth recommendations. He has developed an excellent understanding of the technical skills and environments within the regional development community and his reputation marks him out as a reliable source of guidance to clients and candidates alike.
Matt knows that finding a new job or sourcing a new team member can be a challenging time, and he is determined to provide a positive, stress-free experience to everyone he works with. He is focussed on giving you worthwhile and viable options that will enable you to build a structured career path or enhance your team.
Matt lives in the local area with his fiancee Emma and their son Charlie. When not spending time with work or family, he can usually be found on the golf course, the ski slopes or at a gruelling boot camp session.
Paul is the Holland in Bristow Holland (thanks to his Dutch family name), founding the company with Andy in 2013. Prior to this, he’d been in IT recruitment since 2001, working with clients and candidates exclusively around East Anglia. Having worked in Suffolk for all his career and lived in or around Colchester all his life, Paul has a deep affinity for the region, the local businesses and the people who work in the technology industries.
Paul has spent the majority of his career in IT, and always delivers what he promises. His extensive track record means he has an expert knowledge across all the technologies and core IT sectors of Development, Infrastructure, Project Management, Business Analysis and Databases, but opportunities in Testing is where he now concentrates his efforts.
Paul is a well-liked and seasoned recruiter of both contract and permanent staff, with a deep understanding of the contractor recruitment process, and an excellent network of highly-skilled and readily available IT professionals developed through years of great service.
Away from the office, Paul lives in Coggeshall with his wife and daughters. He enjoys all sports and is an avid swimmer, runner, cyclist and squash player.
