Location: Felixstowe (no hybrid working, sorry)
Salary: Up to £62,500 + generous benefits package
Process: Two-stage interview process, including a practical test to showcase your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • Lead the implementation of the organisation’s Microsoft Fabric adoption roadmap and establish a Centre of Excellence.
  • Work closely with data owners, analysts, scientists, and engineers to deliver tailored data solutions.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval processes, and performance for enhanced business insights.
  • Ensure data security and uphold compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on data collection and MI/BI development.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a focus on ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, MS SQL Server, and SQL for querying, summarizing, and retrieving data.
  • Proficiency in data modelling, report design, and familiarity with programming tools like Python or R.
  • Experience with data governance and knowledge of machine learning applications in data engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like DAX and PySpark.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot anomalies and trends in large datasets.
