Job Role

The role will have responsibility to manage and mentor two junior web developers as well as taking ownership of the application developers within the business. There are also future plans to grow the web team to help drive the business forward which will take the team to 5 / 6 developers.

The ultimate goal for the business is to transform the development department from a bunch of individual developers working on their own projects to a development team that we can focus on projects as the demands of the business change. Furthermore, they want to establish a core set of standards that the team can deliver against to demonstrate the value and ROI that the department delivers for the business.

Requirements & Experience

The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer who wants to lead a small team but stay within the code. You should also have experience with both website and systems experience as they need someone who can lead the technical direction for both the ecommerce websites and internal applications.

The role will be based predominantly from home with occasional office visits to interact with the wider business and product managers.
