Job Role

This QA role sits within the Development team and you’ll be responsible for making sure their software products are fully functional and fit for purpose for their customers. This means ensuring all features and product implementations correspond to customer expectations, requirements and specifications.

Requirements & Experience

You will be expected to be able to write and execute test scripts against the development plans as well as being able to investigate, log, track and co-ordinate the re-test of bugs and defects. You’ll ideally have a good understand of testing various applications such as desktop, web and mobile, as well as having a broad range of testing techniques like Unit testing, integration testing, systems testing, UAT and regression testing to name a few.

Automation experience isn’t an essential requirement, but it will be certainly helpful as they’re planning to automate some functions in the near future.

We’re looking for someone with slightly more experience than the average Tester, with around 6 years in a dedicated test team. As well as getting involved in the day-to-day testing, we’re also looking for you to help with defining and creating QA best practices across the business, as well as any ideas on how to improve the overall QA function and processes moving forward.

This role offers some remote working, however they would ideally like you to be able to get to their office in Bury St Edmunds at least once a week.
