Senior Business Analyst
About the Position
Our Ipswich based client are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their IT & Change team on a permanent basis. The role will see you focusing on the investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a specific business process in terms of business functions and processes, core business application functionality and the configuration of the data integration layer.
Requirements & experience
Key responsibilities within this role:
- Develop and model business and core business application functions, processes, data and information flows and structures (including the integration of systems), using best practice research and analysis techniques to exploit business opportunities and achieve strategic goals.
- Identify Business opportunities, and where appropriate, challenge and recommend changes to the Operational and Organisation Models.
- Critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions identifying alignment with business and architectural strategies, making recommendations to senior managers and stakeholders ensuring they are fully aware of key risks.
- Deliver effective communication to all interested parties including stakeholders and Senior Managers to support effective decision-making and the management of a smooth and integrated project delivery
Ideally you will hold either ISEB (Business Analysis or System Development Diploma) or BCS equivalent. A strong understanding of end-to-end process analysis, process design and process re-design will be very advantageous, as will the understanding of business modelling techniques to measure and analyse processes. Previous experience in developing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements and the full Software Development Life Cycle concepts will be desirable. Any experience in a regulated financial services role would also be welcome.
