Job Role

As the Software Support Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Providing 2nd line technical support including detailed technical investigation and analysis to resolve incidents and restore services, taking owenrship of the resolutino process and working closely with suppliers, and colleagues
  • Provide support to ensure business systems are performing efficiently and effectively, optimised to deliver the required performance
  • Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation including policies, service designs, operational procedures and processes which ensure the effective operation, support, and development of Business Systems
  • Participation and involvement in corporate projects involving development of business systems
  • Liaise with external suppliers or account managers

Requirements & Experience

The Software Support Analyst should have:

  • A background in a support or applications led environment either as a technical support specialist, tester or analyst
  • Experience working with various business applications
  • Experience of working with other teams and stakeholders within an IT environment, keeping all parties informed on the resolution of identified issues
  • Understanding of how to update tehcnical documentation including wiki’s
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of database and application design and development
