SQL DBA / Data Analyst – Fully Remote
About the Position
Job Role
The main purpose of this role is twofold – you’ll be responsible for running and maintaining the MS SQL Server Data Warehouse as well as querying and analysing data too. This will involve you being able to understand, extract, transform and load data from a wide range of source systems and write queries to create outputs to support the consulting team.
Some key duties will include:
- Developing and supporting Core and Application ETL and data manipulation for the business platform which is an MS SQL Server based big data warehouse
- Work with colleagues on providing data and using Power BI-based dashboard solutions.
- Database Administration of MS SQL Server Warehouses, being responsible for database Backup and Recovery, Sizing, Security, Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
- Support new product development as required, including contributing to testing and QA.
Requirements & Experience
This role will be perfectly suited to someone interested not only in keeping the existing databases working well, but also in experimenting and exploring new solutions and possibilities and having a high degree of autonomy to help further develop the business services.
You’ll need to have a practical SQL Server knowledge, as well as some Data Analysis techniques. We’re looking for someone with the ability to think logically and systematically with high attention to detail.
