Data Governance Analyst
This is a role for a growing international insurance business who are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join its newly formed Chief Data Office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and embedding data governance best practices within a company that’s investing significantly in data and building a strong internal data culture.
You’ll be working across the business to help make sure important data is clearly documented, accurate, and used in the right way. This role is all about helping the company build and follow good data practices, so teams can rely on the information they use and stay compliant with regulations. You’ll help roll out data governance processes, policies, and standards, and work closely with different teams to record things like where data comes from, what it means, and who owns it.
A big part of the role is supporting data stewards and subject matter experts which might include running training sessions, giving advice, and helping them use tools like a data dictionary and metadata system. You’ll also help prepare content for internal forums, newsletters, and training materials, and track key data metrics to help improve the overall quality and consistency of data across the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the London Market insurance space and be familiar with tools like Collibra or similar, and confident working with different teams and stakeholders.
It’s a bonus if you hold a data governance certification (like CDMP or DCAM), have worked in regulated industries, and enjoy solving data challenges to help businesses get more value from their information.
