IT Infrastructure Engineer

I have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an exciting nationwide business based in Ipswich on a 50% remote basis. 

In this position you will provide expert technical support and resolution for complex IT issues to the business. As an  Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the IT systems.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver efficient solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd line support
• Lead the charge in tackling complex tech issues, offering solutions and guidance as the escalation point.
• Dive deep into IT incidents, pinpoint the root causes, and put effective fixes in place.
• Make sure escalated tickets are swiftly resolved, meeting service level agreements.
• Architect, implement, and sustain strong IT systems encompassing servers, networks, and security.
• Keep a watchful eye on systems, taking the lead in optimising, securing, and maintaining performance.
• Collaborate across teams for tech insights on projects and technologies aligned with business goals.
• Create and manage technical documentation, covering system setups, processes, and troubleshooting.
