An excellent opportunity for an Assistant Data Protection Officer to join a diverse business who are based in Ipswich.

You have the opportunity to join a thriving and continuously expanding business that is actively seeking to expand their team. As an Assistant Data Protection Officer, your role is to support the organisation in promoting adherence to Data Protection and Security best practices. You will be ensuring that the compliance of our operations and activities with all relevant laws and regulations.

This role is full of variety and projects. You will engage in tasks such as gathering evidence from technical systems, conducting independent research on evolving laws and regulations, evaluating the impact and significance of issues, and presenting them with clarity and precision. All the while, you will maintain an eye for a commercially viable approach. Additionally, your responsibilities will be to address data subject rights requests from our valued customers and members of the public, as well as completing various administrative tasks.

We are on the lookout for an individual who possesses a strong technical, analytical, and people skills that reflects your attention to detail. Your background in Legal, IT, Technical, Compliance, or Audit disciplines equips you with the knowledge to handle complex concepts to a broader audience effectively. The ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously and any prior experience or relevant qualifications in these domains would be a benefit.

This is a hybrid role, however, has a very flexible working environment.
