Senior SQL Database Administrator

An excellent opportunity for a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join a thriving business who are based in South Essex.
 
You have the opportunity to join a growing technical team that is seeking to expand their Data Services department. As a Senior SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for efficiently monitoring and optimizing database performance, while also overseeing the maintenance of database dictionaries, support tools, and the development of precise system documentation.
 
We are seeking an individual that are qualified with a degree or an equivalent blend of education and hands-on experience, possessing the experience of five or more years in SQL Server database administration, surrounding tasks such as installation, configuration, design, patching, archiving, and performance optimization through indexing. Proficient in implementing a variety of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for MS SQL Server.
 
Furthermore, proficient in producing SQL Server health assessment reports, adept in SSRS report development, and skilled in crafting complex SQL queries. Experienced in leveraging and integrating Azure, AWS database resources and DevOps practices. Competent in implementing and overseeing security controls for data platforms, and capable experience in PowerShell and Power BI development.
 
This position offers a hybrid working environment with 2 days in the office per week as well as an excellent benefits package.
