SQL Database Administrator

An excellent opportunity for a Database Administrator to join a thriving business who are based in South Essex.
 
You have the opportunity to join a growing technical team that is seeking to expand their Data Services department. As a Database Administrator, you will be required to develop a deep understanding of the in-house applications and environments. You also will be involved in cross-team tasks, projects and liaise with various teams within the business.
 
The ideal candidate should possess more than two years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a diverse skill set that includes tasks such as deploying, configuring, upgrading, and monitoring SQL Server environments. They should be able to support day-to-day database server availability, working with application databases, performing performance tuning including basic query optimization and index analysis, troubleshooting, and resolving database-related issues.
 
Additionally, an understanding of release management and SDLC processes and assistance in implementing and enforcing database security policies, standards, and procedures. Furthermore, an understanding in T-SQL for both administration and development, must have experience with PowerShell and CI tools, and a basic understanding of the Microsoft Azure data platform
 
This position offers a hybrid working environment with 2 days in the office per week as well as an excellent benefits package.
